Who we are
United DataWyse Ltd was established in 2002 to deal with a problem the seismic industry knows well: decades of data spread across tapes, boxes and warehouses, with no reliable way to find any of it.
We now manage archives for operators, brokers and data owners across Western Canada, and secure records storage for businesses outside the energy sector. Some clients have a single shelf of file boxes. Others own libraries of tens of thousands of seismic lines.
Western Canada is where most of our work is, but it is not a limit. Our name says global data management because that is how the company is built: we accept data from any basin, in any format, from anywhere in the world. Media ships to us by courier or freight, digital data arrives over FTP or secure transfer, and delivery goes back the same way. Nothing in our catalogue, our storage or our billing assumes a Canadian address.
How we work
We are a small Calgary company. When you call, you get a person who knows your archive. If a tape is unreadable or a box is missing, we tell you in writing.
Behind that are secure, climate-controlled facilities, maintained legacy tape drives, and WyseSearch, the online catalogue we built so clients can search, map and order their own data.
